Hi there!
We're thrilled to share this month's updates from Propel. We continue to advance our mission to empower teams to deliver analytics products faster with a relentless focus on our three products:
- Serverless ClickHouse – A blazing-fast analytics backend. Propel is the easiest way to run ClickHouse at any scale.
- Instant Data APIs – Allows you to deploy data APIs over any data source in seconds.
- Embeddable UI Components – An open-source React library of data visualization components to build native dashboards.
What’s neat is that these three products work seamlessly with each other, enabling teams to ship faster than ever before.
What’s New
I personally love months like this one. There are no flashy new product launches, just really neat improvements to the product and the developer experience.
Here are the highlights of what’s new 👇
- Expanded SQL function support - Tons of new Postgres and ClickHouse functions.
- New Console Navigation - Clean separation between “Data” and “API” functionality.
- GraphQL Schema Explorer - Easily search the GraphQL Schema.
- 9 bug fixes
- 15 improvements
✨ Expanded SQL function support
We have significantly expanded our SQL function support, extending it to a broad range of functions for PostgreSQL and ClickHouse SQL dialects, as well as unique Propel functions. This improvement offers developers greater flexibility and control when querying, transforming, and managing data.

✨ New Console Navigation
We’ve rolled out an updated Console navigation. The new menu structure and design organizes the Console into two primary sections: “Data” and “API”. The “Data” section houses all Serverless ClickHouse-related functionalities, and “API” contains all API-related functionalities.

✨ GraphQL Schema Explorer
We introduced a GraphQL Schema Explorer in the Console. Developers can now actively search through the Propel API GraphQL schema, easily access API endpoints, and directly download the schema from a provided URL.
